Best Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents

This is the best sausage cream cheese crescents recipe I have. It’s a go-to quck and easy breakfast (or football game appetizer!) in my house for so many reasons.

Crescent Rolls are not just holiday dinners or special times. Today, we use crescents for so many different meals and food items

Honestly, these sausage and cream cheese crescents are the bomb! They are savory and delicious.

Rich, savory sausage mixed with tangy, smooth cream cheese, then all wrapped in a flaky, buttery crescent roll? What’s not to love about this simple sausage cream cheese crescents meal?

They make a perfect breakfast! Serve them up with a side of eggs and you have a full meal right there.

My kids love these. They ask for them for Saturday breakfast or even as an after-school snack. They are also one of my favorite homemade sausage cream cheese crescents ideas to bring to a party.

We’ve taken them to potlucks and game-day parties. They are always the first thing to disappear from the table.

Ingredients:

  • Ground sausage
  • Shredded cheese
  • Cream cheese softened
  • Refrigerated crescent rolls
  • Pepper to taste

How to make Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents:

This is a super easy sausage cream cheese crescents for beginners recipe.

Step 1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Get this going first, so it’s hot and ready.

Step 2. Roll the crescent rolls out flat, and cut each triangle in half lengthwise for bite-sized crescents. If you want them larger, you can skip cutting them.

Step 3. Cook the ground sausage until it is completely browned. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat. Be sure to break it apart into small crumbles

Step 4. Add the cooled ground sausage to a mixing bowl with the cream cheese. Be sure to let the sausage cool a bit. If it’s too hot, it’ll melt the cream cheese into a liquid
Step 5: Then, add shredded cheese of your choosing as well as pepper to taste. Stir to combine completely. You shouldn’t see any big chunks of plain cream cheese.

Step 6. Spoon a small ball of the sausage mixture into the top of each piece of crescent roll where it is fattest. A small cookie scoop (about a tablespoon) works perfectly for this.
Step 7. Starting at the widest end, roll the crescent roll dough over the sausage filling, forming a mini stuffed crescent roll. Just roll them up loosely toward the small point

Step 8. Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Lay them out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (easy cleanup). They’ll be puffy and golden.
