Hot Sausage Beer Cheese Dip

Ingredients:

  • 10 oz (300 g) lean ground turkey or chicken sausage (93–99% lean)
  • 4 oz light cream cheese
  • 1 cup reduced-fat shredded cheddar (or light mozzarella)
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk or low-fat milk
  • ⅓ cup light beer
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Optional: pinch of cayenne or red pepper flakes

Instructions:

  1. Cook the sausage
    In a skillet over medium heat, cook the lean sausage until fully browned. Drain any excess liquid if needed.
  2. Add cream cheese
    Lower the heat and stir in the light cream cheese until melted and combined.
  3. Pour in liquids
    Add the beer and milk. Stir continuously over low heat until smooth.
  4. Add shredded cheese & seasoning
    Mix in the reduced-fat cheese, garlic powder, paprika, and optional spice. Stir until melted and creamy.
  5. Serve warm
    Transfer to a small baking dish or slow cooker to keep warm.

Approximate Points:

If divided into 6 servings, it’s about 3–4 points per serving (depending on brands used).
