Whether we need to cool down on a hot day or whip up a pitcher of drinks that ushers in a sense of summer during chillier times, we’re blending a strawberry cooler. Heavily embracing its namesake fruit, this strawberry drink gets some extra brightness from lemon and a healthy bit of fizz from ginger ale.
While strawberry beverage recipes are naturals for a kid’s birthday party or a happy hour mocktail, strawberry juice is also very customizable, with plenty of opportunities to play with the fruit, soda and sugar to find your ideal combo.
Here is how I made this simple treat:
Ingredients:
400–500g Fresh strawberries
1 Liter of cold water
A splash of lemon juice
Honey or sugar to taste
Instructions:
1. Wash and slice the strawberries, then place them into a glass jar.
2. Pour the water over the strawberries and add the lemon juice.
3. Let it sit in the fridge for a few hours (or overnight) to let the flavors infuse.
4. For a smoother texture, you can blend everything together before serving. Enjoy!”
