Ingredients
- ▢ 1 pound ground beef
- ▢ 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
- ▢ 1 tablespoon hamburger seasoning
- ▢ 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- ▢ 1 teaspoon black pepper
- ▢ ½ cup (71.5 g) finely diced dill pickle
- ▢ ½ cup (56.5 g) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- ▢ 1 can (8-count) refrigerated biscuits,not flaky
- ▢ ¼ cup (½ stick / 57 g) unsalted butter,melted
- ▢ ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ▢ 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
- ▢ fry sauce, for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Spray a 10-inch oven-safe skillet with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a medium nonstick skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion, breaking up the beef as it cooks. Once the beef starts to brown, add the hamburger seasoning, seasoned salt, and black pepper. Continue cooking until the beef is fully browned and no longer pink. Remove from heat. Drain any excess grease if necessary, and set aside.
- Remove the biscuits from the can and place them on a clean work surface. Using a rolling pin, flatten each biscuit into a 5-inch circle about ⅛-inch thick.
- Add 1 tablespoon of shredded cheddar cheese to the center of each flattened biscuit. Top with about ⅓ cup of the ground beef mixture and, if using, 1 tablespoon of diced pickles.
- Carefully pinch the edges of the biscuit together to seal the filling inside. Place the sealed biscuits, seam-side down, into the prepared oven-safe skillet, evenly spaced.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with garlic powder. Brush the tops of the biscuits with the garlic butter. Then, sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake for 23-25 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.
- Let the cheeseburger bombs cool slightly before serving.
- Serve warm with fry sauce for dipping.
