Banana slices are sandwiched with creamy almond butter, then dipped in melted chocolate for this sweet treat.
Ingredients
Banana – 2 small
Almond butter – 4 tsp, divided
Dark chocolate chips – 3 Tbsp
Instructions
- Cut off the thinner ends from the bananas. Cut each banana into eight ½-inch-thick slices to yield a total of 16 slices. Spread ½ tsp almond butter each onto 8 slices and top with the remaining slices. Line a plate with foil or parchment paper and transfer the banana sandwiches to the plate. Freeze for 30 minutes or until firm.
- In a small microwave-safe bowl, microwave the chocolate chips on High for 30 seconds and stir. Continue to microwave the chocolate in 10-second intervals until melted.
- Dip half of each frozen banana sandwich in the melted chocolate. Return the sandwiches to the freezer until the chocolate sets, about 2 minutes. Store the sandwiches in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month.
