Ingredients:
4 (4-6 oz) fish fillets (such as cod, tilapia, or salmon)
Zest and juice of 1 large lemon
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (or other fresh herbs like dill or basil)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional: lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions:
Pat the fish fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it brown.
Stir in the lemon zest and juice, and cook for another minute. Remove from heat and add the chopped parsley.
In a large skillet, heat a little oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned fish fillets and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
Once the fish is cooked, drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the fillets in the skillet. Allow the fish to soak up the flavors for a minute.
Serve the fish fillets hot, garnished with extra parsley and lemon wedges on the side for a fresh touch.
