- Onion sliced
- Cornstarch
- Beef stock
- Bay leaf

- 1 Packet French onion soup mix
- 3 Tbsp. Olive oil
- 1 ½ Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

- ⅓ C. Water
- 1 Onion , sliced
- 2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
- 3 C. Beef stock
- 1 Bay leaf
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat 1 Tbsp of olive oil in a large pot over medium high heat.
- Stir in half the meat and onions, brown evenly, and cook until the onions are becoming soft.
- Remove, and repeat step 2 with the remaining meat and onions.
- Add all of the meat and onions into the pot.
- Pour in the broth, onion soup mix, bay leaf, worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper to taste.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover and simmer for 1 ½ hours.
- Blend together the cornstarch and water, add to the pot, and cook until the gravy has thickened.
- Garnish with parsley before serving.
