This BBQ Crispy Tofu Recipe is not only Super delish but if you are a Weight Watchers gal like me it is ZERO POINTS on Weight Watchers
This recipe has just a few simple ingredients:

Use homemade zero point BBQ sauce or find your own low point BBQ sauce to use.
How to Press Tofu
Start with a block of extra firm tofu. To “press” it, you simply wrap it in paper towels or hand towels and set a plate or can of vegetables on top. After about 5 minutes, repeat this process with fresh paper towels or a hand towel.
Allow tofu to sit, wrapped with something heavy on top, for at least 15 minutes. Different brands require different amounts of time, so you’ll have to play around with it a bit if you aren’t used to cooking tofu. It’s better to let it sit longer (like for an hour) than not long enough (because then it will be mushy).
Alternately, you can use a tofu press. It makes the pressing process much easier! This polished press squeezes the water out of tofu, making possible lots of incredibly tasty, crispy dishes. Put on Some Weight When you press the water out of raw bean curd, two magical things happen: It sucks up more marinade, and gets way crispier when you fry it. (This is the secret to incredible tofu that’s tender in the center, with a well-seasoned, crisp crust.)
How to Cook Tofu
Tofu can be tricky to cook, so it’s important that you pay attention and have patience. If you’re impatient, you’ll end up with mushy tofu. While many people don’t mind mushy tofu, the point of this recipe is to make crispy tofu. 🙂 Crispy tofu is delicious, and almost everyone loves it – yes, even your carnivore friends and family will enjoy this recipe.
Do not crowd your pan. It’s better to cook in 2-3 batches than to cook in one big batch and end up with half the tofu not cooked.
BBQ Tofu Recipe
Ingredients:
1 block of tofu, pressed
Garlic
BBQ sauce
Directions:
Press tofu using directions above. Slice into small squares or rectangles. Avoid cubing the tofu if this is your first time cooking it, as it takes a little more practice to get that perfected. 🙂
Combine BBQ sauce and garlic in a bowl big enough to toss tofu in after it’s cooked. Measurements aren’t important here, just measure how much you need to coat the tofu, and count the points for it if you aren’t using your own zero point sauce.
Heat skillet over medium heat. Spray pan spray (zero points) and coat the pan.
Add the tofu, allowing enough room to flip each piece without any overlapping.
Continue cooking, flipping the tofu at least once, until all tofu is golden brown.
Remove tofu from pan, toss in BBQ sauce mixed with garlic. Return to pan, cooking a few more minutes until the BBQ sauce is warmed up and starts to caramelize.
Serve hot.
