INGREDIENTS
For the apple pie filling
- 3 medium apples (diced)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp arrow root or corn starch
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1-2 tbsp granulated sweetener of choice (optional)
- ½ tsp vanilla
For the crust
- 6 Medium sized tortillas (44g per wrap)
For the optional dusting
- ¼ cup egg whites
- 4 tbsp granulated sweetener of choice
- 1 tsp cinnamon
INSTRUCTIONS
- Place all ingredients in a pot for the apple pie filling and allow it to simmer on a low to medium heat until mixture thickens and apples are soft.
- Take a tortilla and place 2 tablespoons of the apple pie filling in the middle. Tuck the ends and roll the tortilla. If the sides wont stick you may need to dab your tortilla ends with some egg white wash or milk.
- If you’ll be using the optional dusting, brush your filled tortillas with your egg white wash and sprinkle 1 tsp of your cinnamon/ sweetener mixture over it.
- Bake in your airfryer or oven at 180C for 6-8 minutes until golden and crispy!
