Three-Envelope Roast Recipe

Ingredients

  • Chuck roast – 3 lbs
  • Dry Italian seasoning mix – 1 packet
  • Dry Ranch seasoning mix – 1 packet
  • Dry brown gravy mix – 1 packet
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Salt & black pepper – to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the  Meat
Season the chuck roast generously with salt and black pepper. Place it in the slow cooker.

2. Make the Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together the Italian, Ranch, and brown gravy mixes with 1 cup of water until smooth

Add to Slow Cooker

Pour the seasoning mixture over the roast.

Optional: surround the meat with baby potatoes, carrots, or onions for a complete meal.

Cook Low and Slow

Cover and cook on High for 4 hours or Low for 8 hours, until the roast is fork-tender.

5. Baste and Finish
Occasionally spoon the juices over the roast. Once done, shred or slice the meat as desired
